Thank you from RRC TTI
I have a r7001 and the bit is stuck in it. Cannot open the chuck.
Got my broken chuck off. After a couple strikes with a rubber hammer I learned u gotta strike it like Thor. It will come off. Great video. Thanks
Tried removing the chuck without clamping shown in other videos and it didn’t work on my rigid drill. One quick firm hir in the clamp and it was loose. Thanks
Follow the instructions and easy peasy, it comes right off, simple dimple.
Hex key be damned. 45torx, impact. If you're replacing your chuck because it's shot this will save you hours. Lowest setting necessary, of course.
Got the screw out. Hammered on my Allen wrench which was tightened into the chuck. Didn't losen
@RIDGID Tools or anyone,
Is there a metal keyless drill chuck that will fit the Ridgid R7111 corded drill?
No information on being able to release a bit..This drill is GARBAGE. Many Thanks!
Great video thanks for sharing this video
Hey Bryan enjoy your video. Q: does ridges have a upgrade replacement chuck for my R860052 1/2in drill ?
It's not even a year old. Can't seem to get a straight answer at RIDGID. The 10 year 1/2 drill I sent back for clutch work got lost. Yes it was replaced but this chuck sucks.
Also, will a hammer drill chuck work on my drill.
I bought mine used, and it needs a new chuck. Is there any chance it is covered?
How do you replaced the screw to secure the chuck if it is broken, meaning the screw head has been sheared off? Thanks.
can I replace my chuck with a better chuck? or am I stuck with buying the same part?
also, will this help with my drill wobble?
My drill wasn't covered under the LSA because damage was caused by a drop. This video saved me about $75 dollars in repairs as the replacement chuck was only about $10. Very easy repair! Thank you!
the chuck on my R86116 is stuck in the fully open position, so I cannot put any allen wrench in to break it loose from the motor. I have removed the set screw in case you think I may have missed that step. Any suggestions. ???
Nice clear video.Thanks.
any advice on removing a tool-less chuck with it's jaws jambed fully closed. can't even get to the internal screw. 🙁
Got it… Gently tap the jaws with a mallet while loosening.
this did NOT work.
Great info thx!!!
How can I remove the chuck if one of the jaws came out and I can not hold the allen key. I've tried several times
Great video. My bit is stuck in my chuck and I cannot get it to release. Thoughts?
thank's 😉
Many thanks… chuck came lose and no matter how many times I screwed it back on to the thread, it was never going to stay put until you mentioned the Philips screw on the inside!
Have these instructions changed at all for a GEN5X Hammer Drill?
