How do unjust screwdriver
Keeps jamming on me. How to unload, so I can try a new strip?
My bit doesn't go all the way down for some reason
I bought this gun to screw down a sub floor. Performance hasn’t been great. Many screws do not drive flush. Many are missed
completely. I’m trying to decide if it’s, me, the gun or the screws. Screws are 1 3/4 square drive, Grip Rite brand. Anybody else have similar issues or comments.
Cordless option available?
would of been nice to actually the finished driven screw. The ones shown @ dont look flush which concerns me. Do I then have to go back and screw them down ? Then if so, this tool is useless.
Mine hasn’t worked properly from the day I bought it. I tried every possible solution. It is a known lemon. Big mistake buying this.
Below is a transcript of the video. Some of my comments are in the parenthesis. Conclusion to follow
1. Hold upright and depress the bitload button
2. Drop the bit into the feed housing
3. While still holding the bit load button depress the nose piece with the palm of your opposite hand to center the bit. (By the way the actor never uses his palm at all in the demo)
4. Cycle the nose piece up and down while gently shaking the tool until the bit drops into place. (What does this really mean?)
5. Later it says feed screw strip into guide. (The first thing that happened when I did this is that the strip went right into the spring and got stuck there!)
It took me one stab of the but into the palm of my hand to see why the actore in this video did not put his palm over the center of the bit. He probably got stuck too. Then it says cycle the nose piece. What does that mean, – Keep doing it till it falls into place. I tried this and it took over 50 attempts for the bit to "fall into place."
Why should we have to shake the tool until the bit falls into place in the first place. Who designed this tool, Donald Duck?
The idea is to make the procedure fast and easy. SO now everytime I inset a bit and also everytime I finish a strip I have to go through this same trial and error procedures? No way. Design it better and I will think about using this piece of equipment.
Where do I get the screw strip?
My bit doesn't spin. What could me the issue?
The coluhlated?
Hahahaha
Not worth the money. Won’t drive screws all the way down. Leaves them an eight above work surface
Excellent machine The screws are loaded on the plastic that holds them or a strip of pure lace is already coming. Thank you.
I have non problem, the screwdriver tool work perfect for.
I did all this video said to do and the screw gun won't sink screws I adjusted the depth meter an't it's still a quarter inch out.
I have this same screwgun and it doesn't sink in the screw
even when I am putting all of my body weight on it, the nose piece doesn't always depress enough to engage the screw with the bit. yes I set the depth for the screw size appropriately
mine jams a lot, or spits the screws out
are the long bits expensive to replace? and do they wear out as fast as a standard bit?
Neither of the clowns below could report back and tell us if Rigid helped them, complaining is easy, how about sharing your experiences after you got support?
This is a lie. I purchased my tools at Home Depot. Rigid will not honor the warranty on my brand-new batteries. From their website my batteries serial number
