The smaller m12 doesn’t have much grip when pulling them out of the sander. The reason why this happens is because Milwaukee adder rubber inserts inside the M12 housing to reduce vibration. The larger M12 battery has more surface to grip on when removing the battery. I would still recommend you just need to wiggle the battery out due to the tighter fit.
