  1. I used a 15 mm socket as instructed by this video and could not budge the blade nut to loosen it. The socket even stripped the corners of the nut and slipped off after a forcefull attempt or two. Realized that 15 mm is the wrong size! I then used a 5/8 socket which fit the nut perfectly and with a bit of torque I was able to loosen the nut and remove the blades.

  2. Call Ryobi Customer Service…??? Thats laughable. I was on hold for 57 minutes, I finally gave up. I Tried to order a part, from your website but, the site never indicated that the order went through. I tried again still the same thing, looks like it never went through. No conformation email, nothing. Boom about a week later guess what shows up? Two parts…SMGDH.

  3. Per Ryobi Manual
The recommended torque for the blade nut is 310–360 in.lbs 26-30 ft-lb.
    Per this yout vid
325 to 400 inch pounds or 27 to 33 ft-lb or hand tight.

Due to Ryobi goof proof blade install even if the blade loosens after the 1st mow you know the blade torque was to low so hand tighten a lot more then the second mow blade check make sure blade is tight or increase the hand torque .
    Oh
prior to doing any blade torque clean clean clean before you torque down the blade nut..
