I just saved myself $150 buuuuuucks👍👍👍👍
Help! My ridgid auger is stuck. I been twisting and pulling- no luck
The Toilet had an extremely slow drain and the regular plunger didn't open it up. Went out and bought a new different shaped plunger and it didn't work either. I was about to call a plumber who would charged $150 just to clear the drain. I remember seeing something similar to the K-6 Toilet Auger that cost about $225. I went to the local hardware store prepared to pay $225, but I saw the K-6 and bought it for a lot less then the $225 one. I put the K-9 in the toilet, extended it to the full 6-feet, spun it around many times, flushed, and drain was cleared of the blockage. Thank you RIDGID Tools. I saved a lot of money! 😃👍
I'm still stuck on how you can retract the snake cable. Been looking at numerous videos
NOT HELPFUL
These product are awful and a scam
These don’t work don’t waste ur money
yeah, well, guess what…as a 5ft tall female, my arms are just not long enough, to hold that thing and turn that crank! PLUS, that button that releases 3more feet of cable, is VERY HARD for a woman to press!
I'm looking for an alternative.
just bought the 3' one at Home depot. Works as advertise but gotta be careful not to scratch the bowl. The plumber uses one with a sharp screw hook on end – easier to clean and a rubber not plastic covered elbow. If u scratch the bowl empty it and use Bartenders Helper per the plumber. Plumber says medications have been great for their biz due to hard stools. So there.
Very helpful, thanks 💯
Did you really need work gloves?
Great job. I recently purchased this product and this video was definitely helpful. With the music and everything it felt like I was watching Mr. Rogers visiting the plumber. Lol A+ job Thanks a lot 👍🏿😷🇺🇲
It's hard to get the extra 3 feet back in one you let it out I'm ready to cry
please ridgid make a better locking mechanism for your toilet auger
thank you great video
I just bought one at Home Depot. We'll see how it works today.
Use them more often than I like being a Plumber. My Tampon Fishing Rod.
The retraction process is a farce. Releasing the detent and sliding the 3ft tube back down to the handle doesn't happen. The detent catches somewhere in the tube. Have your gloves handy because you will have to manually pull out the augur. I wish rigid would do away with the pretense that retraction works….And continue working the handle clockwise — the same way that you paid it out! That's what the instructions say. How bout for 10 dollars give us the wire and some rubber gloves. I pray that an entrepreneurial soul will design a superior tool. $50 is not this product's value.
I have used mine a few times but it is hard to handle for a smaller frame person. Also once I wind the cable through, if I let go of the handle it spins radically counterclock wise and can injure you if you're not on guard. It does work but each time I forget which way to wind it. Having a wind and unwind directional arrow on the stem would help. Also a small step stool if you are a shorter person.
This thing is not going all the way in…really difficult to use
Damn, without this video, the K6 is very difficult to use. Watch this video and don't wing it like I did. We switched toilet papers from Scott to Charmin. Worst choice I made on buying toilet papers. We were without the use of a toilet for over a week.
was alital hard to use, but it worked
I used it and now our beautiful Toto toilet has lots of black marks inside the bowl! How do you remove them?
Spent around $50 on a new plunger and pipe clearing chem products and nothing worked. Saw this video doing research for an auger and went to pick one up at Home Depot. This thing is amazing. Toilet was unclogged in less time then it took to watch this video. Thanks!!
Had a toilet that had slow draining issues for quite a period of time. Plunging did not work and suspected that there was something stuck in the toilet trap. Was contemplating calling a plumber to check (by removing toilet). Before doing so, I did some online research and decided to try an auger prior to spending $$$ on plumber. Purchased the K-3 bulb head version. It took several attempts over a week but I finally pulled out a wire mesh drain strainer that someone flushed down the toilet.
This tool proved it value.
all i can say is the thing worked. nothing else did. i read the reviews they sounded positive and i bought it.
Certainly isn't that easy for me. I just bought mine yesterday from Home Depot and after I get my 1st 3 feet out I push button like the video shows and his slides down very smooth and easily. Mine gets all stuck after I push button and doesn't want to go down at all after I push button. Now I have to go BACK to Home Depot to see if they'll give me a new one or see if I can get refund – HASSLE!!!!!
i just used it and it worked thank you
didn't realize how good ur tool is till I tried a cobra auger and the damn thing wouldn't stay still while I applied pressure and turned the handle. Yours is well…..as the name implies…rigid when you push it.
