Clean more without a cord with the 18V X2 (36V) LXT Brushless 1.3 Gal. HEPA Filter Upright Vacuum (XCV19). This is Makita’s first cordless upright vacuum, and it carries the Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) Seal of Approval Certification for high performance in commercial cleaning applications.
The powerful brushless motor generates 67 CFM of suction power and 48” of water lift. The upright vacuum has a cleaning path of 12” for optimal efficiency and four height adjustment levels adjust to differing floor types. The horizontal position can easily be adjusted to clean under furniture. The efficient two-stage HEPA filter captures 99.97% of particulates .3 microns and larger.
The vacuum cleaner has 3 speed options (high/medium/low) to match the speed to the application. Using two 18V LXT 6.0Ah batteries, the vacuum gets 60 minutes of continuous run time on the medium setting and 30 minutes on the high setting.

Why the heck do you guys not make a corded one???
How does this vacuum compare to other vacuums? I use shark vacuums on all of my commercial jobs and they so far have been the only ones to last more then 6months. I live in Alaska and have to vacuum a lot of rocks and salt. So my vacuums take a beating for sure. And it’s been hard to find a vacuum that can handle the abuse. Even commercial vacuums die on me within 6months.
I think it’s a great idea!
Annoying that the hose is just dangling there at the back of the vac also annoying that there is a cover for the batteries, completely pointless as far as I can see 🙁
