Piece of crap! Have had problems from day one!
Nice saw. Lots of power. There is ONE problem with mine –
Try cutting a straight/perpendicular line.
The pivot screw (for the lack of a better term) is sloppy and the blade will tilt slightly, causing a botched cut.
Saw has only been used THREE times. It now sits in the toolbag and my corded DeWalt circular saw gets used.
My first purchase in the Porter Cable 20V Max line was the impact driver. I love it!!! great power and features. Based on that experience I planned to built my entire arsenal of 20V tools around Porter Cable line. Unfortunately my next purchase was the circular saw. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!! Light weight, Powerful, but difficult to cut straight because they used a cheap plastic NON-RIGID blade hood that is connected to the base in a way that encourages the blade to move around imperfections or hard spats in the wood. Even the cheapie Black and decker cordless doesn't do that. Now my hopes are dashed, I'm a little leary of what I might find in the other tools in the line now.
Looks nice!
