Next gen? You're joking right! I have this exact driver. BS pros use this. This companies tools are JUNK. I was given an 18V driver as a gift. Used it once for 2 minutes. Then stored it for a couple years. Take it out, both batteries won't charge now. One says it's defective, they other blinks like it's overheating and never charges. Contacted customer service and get this, the customer service email form is broken on their site just produces an error (RED FLAG), their customer support number as of now is NOWHERE on their website you have to dig on the net to find it (RED FLAG), the only way I contacted them about it was finding out they have live chat which is a TINY little button on the website (RED FLAG). Support was useless and essentially said they discontinued the batteries and I could check batteries and bulbs website. Ironically that site makes batteries for every brand almost EXCEPT PORTER CABLE! (RED FLAG). This company produces junk, and like Apple practices planned obsolescence and discontinue their tools and batteries so you have to by new ones. The batteries are junk to help with that profiteering practice. TOTAL CRAP COMPANY THAT RIPS OFF HARD WORKING PEOPLE. STEER CLEAR!!!
