  1. My Ryobi string trimmer will not feed out the string from the reel. it just comes off the reel and wraps tightly around the axle holding the trimmer string reel. Useless, unless you can tell me how to make the string feed outside of the trimmer guard

  2. Just bought Ryobi 15 inch 40V string trimmer today. HATE IT!!! Haven't even used it yet. Just putting it together. UGH!!!! Hubby had a stroke. Learning how to use his gas and oil trimmer that you have to bump so the string doesn't get caught and you have to keep reloading. Getting better buuuuuut I have soooooo many other things to do that I need something quick and easy to work. Don't mind doing the yard (great exercise) buuuuuut I don't want to be frustrated. Thinking about disassembling and returning 😢

  3. I just bought one of your trimmers. It has an automatic feed function that feeds line like crazy! My old trimmer broke, but I was able to use one spool per summer. With this one I didn't even finish one session. Is there a way to prevent so much string from being used?

  4. I have a question about respooling line. In my case I have had a struggle with new line jamming on the spool. The line appears to have a backlash on the spool restricting it from unwinding. I had spooled the line myself, so i felt it was properly wound on the spool. Actually I found that a more random or loose wound line will feed properly, but a tight level wound line will backlash. I expect this is a tradeoff of the auto feed design because the line release is actually performed as the reel spins down. Compared to a bump and feed there is less centrifugal pull to keep the line from backlash. My question : Is there a detail of line spooling that you can help me to understand?
